Lokarpana of sacred 18 steps on 11.05.2026, Monday - Function

May 11th, 2026, will be remembered for a long time in the temple`s history. 

This day witnessed the unprecedented event of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Mahasamsthanam`s two Peetadhipathis setting foot in Ubrangala temple, for blessing & inaugurating the newly brass plate-covered sacred 18 steps of the temple. Dakshinamnaya Shrigeri Shri Sharada Peetam`s Jagadguru Shankaracharya Shri Shri Vidhushekara Bharathi Sannidangal and  Jagadguru Shri Shankaracharya Samshtana Edneer Mutt`s Shri Shri Sachidananda Bharathi Swamiji performed the Lokarpana ceremony at 6.30 PM by lighting the Bhadra deepam, followed by ascending the sacred steps. This was preceded by the performance of the Dwara Pooja by Kshethracharya Brahmashri Delampady Ganesh Tantry in the august presence of Brahmashri Kuntar Raveesh Tantry and Kshetra astrologer Shri Nagendra Bharadwaj.
