Dieties : Kaatnooji Shri. Shasthara Moolasthanam

Katnooji is the Moolasthanam of Shri. Ayyappa Swamy. It is situated between woods - `Bana` - around 0.75 Kms from the Ubrangala Temple. Temple priest offers Pooja with Neivedyam at the Sannidhi daily after the noon Pooja. 

The beginning of the annual Paatu festival is heralded by bringing of the `Ulpe` (sacred fire in a pot) lit at the sannidhi and brought to the temple in ceremonial procession, to the accompaniement of bands, `chendai` and music.
